ABOUT ME
Denise Perusse is an aspiring writer and a lover of all things creative. She presently works as a Cree Health Representative for the Cree Board of health with a mandate to bring awareness and inform her community in preventative measures when it comes to health and well being of the community and its members. A task that she is taking to heart since she believes the path to healing is awareness and that preventative measures is a proactive and positive way to becoming healthy and whole, body mind and spirit.
Someday she hopes to write inspiring stories that will be published and read across the globe! For now she’s perfectly content to be a hard working mom and blogger that perhaps is at least read across the Cree nation.
She is looking for inspiration in everyday things that will help her in her writing. In turn, she hopes her writing will inspire others as well. Denise, loves the creative process of life and strives to bring positivity to herself and to others. She has a spiritual side yet she can be quite practical. It takes a bit of time to get past her guard in person but most people don’t regret taking the time to know her because she has much to offer on a lot of levels.

My Cree Heritage
The Cree half of Denise comes from the Cree Nation of Chisasibi. The largest of the nine Cree communities, Denise has been living there for the past twenty years.
The village may be far cry from the big city of Montreal where Denise grew up, but she wouldn't have it any other way. She fell in love with her husband there, the culture and heritage from her Cree mother and to the simple quiet life that Chisasibi has to offer to her and her family.
Denise hopes to give back to her community with her ambitions as a writer, a good community member, parent and role model.
