These are a few snapshots I took with my iPhone during my trip to bring my daughter to her new home and preparing her for her new school.
I have posted mostly scenery we enjoyed on our girls trip because most pics I have are family pics for our family memories. Apart from that, taking off on a whim to see my sister at her camper was so worth it. Mind you, I certainly will have a smaller pay but like I said, totally worth it!
We set off south instead of north and extended our girls trip three extra days. We enjoyed outdoor weather with sunbathing and swimming that made our summer complete (wished hubby and son were with us on this part of the trip). We can't really enjoy that kind of summer up north. My sister was an awesome hostess. She entertained us, fed us and gave us a comfy place to sleep in her beautiful camper (silly me, I forgot to take pictures of her cosy home away from home). I am truly grateful to have gotten a chance to enjoy her company and her family for a brief part of her summer vacay. Eventually I had to think of heading home and again on a whim, decided to head north with my dad, who we met up with in Dorval after a visit to my daughters college, to his buddy's chalet in Ste-Adele. Coincidently it was not far from a chalet my dad leased for five years on lac Pilon a few years back (now sadly it belongs to a new owner). We enjoyed a nostalgic visit and swim on the lake and a little island on that lake we swim from. A quick supper outside and we were off to stay in a hotel further north. Finally we arrived home on Friday, tired but happy and nicely tanned from all that swimming! Brought my girls with me for a quick trip and enjoying spending some girlie time with them. We sang aloud to songs we liked, exchanged stories and drooled over the actors we find hawt! Tommorow we are gonna celebrate my daughter's 15 th with a fancy dinner and hopefully a movie! Here's to bonding with my girls!
Thanks to a pesky mosquito buzzing in my ear, I came out to see the rising sun, five o'clock this morning. What a nice sight!
